UniversityLease

Cornell University is pleased to announce that it has awarded a preferred supplier contract to UniversityLease for operating leases of equipment.  Operating leases are defined as leases in which Cornell does not intend to own the asset and will return it at the end of the lease.  The categories are as follows:

  • Medical equipment
  • Scientific equipment
  • Technology equipment
  • Agricultural equipment
  • Copiers
  • Miscellaneous other equipment

  Contract Benefits to Cornell

  • Pre-approved lease program with negotiated rates and terms
  • Ability to work with any equipment vendor that the department chooses
  • Easy access to rates and payments through a secure, Cornell-restricted access Web site

  Ordering Information

CONFIDENTIAL INFORMATION: The information regarding contracts negotiated with suppliers is confidential and must not be shared with anyone outside of Cornell University, as per Cornell University Policy 4.6, Standards of Ethical Conduct .

To use this program, Cornell must obtain current, written pricing on the cost of the desired equipment.  The normal procurement process will apply in obtaining this pricing (e.g., bids, university contract, sole source process, etc.), and the supplier will be notified that UniversityLease will be purchasing the equipment on Cornell's behalf.  The department will initiate a blanket order covering the lease, which will then be sent to UniversityLease, along with the supplier's priced quote.
